Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin said that when Kentucky public schools shut down for extreme cold, it was a sign we’re “getting soft.”

Quote:
Gov. Matt Bevin told WHAS radio on Tuesday that closing schools for cold weather “sends messages to our young people that if life is hard you can curl up in the fetal position somewhere.”
https://fox8.com/2019/01/31/kentucky...-getting-soft/

His quote got this reaction from the apolitical Al Roker:

Quote:
I just have to say, this nitwit governor in Kentucky, saying that ‘Oh, we’re weak,’” the “Today” show weatherman said, referring to Bevin’s radio interview. “These are kids who are going to be in subzero wind chill. No, cancel school! Stop it!”

Matt Bevin didn’t spend one day in a public school and his kids attend a private school in Louisville.

Some smart entrepreneur is selling tee shirts now with the words “Soft Kentuckian” or “Nitwit Governor”.

How tone deaf do you have to be to get America’s Weatherman to publically call you a nitwit?

Al Roker assumed the bent over position a long time ago and remains there. He lost what little of his marbles he had when he lost weight. He is disgusting.

I once got frostbite on the fingers of one hand while walking to school when I was in the 4th grade.

It was only 5 blocks away, and I could walk it in around 12 minutes. The October morning wasn't even all that cold-maybe 38 degrees, but it was windy. The wind chill must have been down around zero for those 5 blocks. I knew my hands were getting cold, but cold hasn't ever bothered me much.

Toughness has nothing at all to do with frostbite. I never cried when the circulation began coming back into my frozen fingers, but it hurt like bloody hell, and they weren't badly frozen.

Frostbite doesn't care how tough anyone is when it sets in. At zero or below, a child who's out in that cold when there's wind is going to be damaged if frostbitten, and no child is ever prepared for frostbite.

That Governor is not only an idiot, he's an irresponsible idiot. His job is to protect the children of Kentucky, not condemn them for being 'soft'. He's not fit for his job.

Kentucky is not known for its stellar choices in state leadership.

Those in the so called MSM think it's their duty to take on Republican politicians.
