I loved when he would question witnesses as a Congressman.

Was sad to see him leave.

Do you have any examples of those who thought Gowdy was retiring to his porch never to be heard from again?

Trey Gowdy has been one of the brilliant legal minds in congress and sometimes appeared in media giving his take on investigations and other political news.

Now people will get to see him regularly with brilliant commentary as always.

Gowdy, who retired from Congress earlier this month, will offer political and legal analysis.

The former four-term congressman served as chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee during his final two years in office.

At least he isn't a lying scum bag or a race baiter that MSNBC or CNN has hired.

A talking head is fine.

Lobbyists are parasites.

I believe he has been hired at the same law firm he worked at in SC back in 1990.

I will always remember him for his sweating profusely and stumbling around as he tried and tried and tried to get something on Hillary. At the end of 11 hours he looked like a whipped little weasel and Clinton walked out cool as a cucumber. That's when I knew all the hype around this guy was just that.

IIRC, he was looking to be a judge when he announced his retirement.
I don’t see much that would qualify him as a judge nor do I see the brilliant legal mind claimed by the OP.

I don't think anybody thought he was disappearing...just not being a part of the Republican party as an elected official.

He's so brilliant he knew when to leave.
