I Wonder how The Left will spin this one as proof for Russian collusion.

U.S. to withdraw from nuclear arms control with Russia- I Thought Trump was Putin’s Poodle
This releases Russia from any restrictions, so they are free to create as many and any type of nukes they want. There is lot of high-fiving going on in Russia tonight.

I wonder if Putin threatened to release the tapes if Trump didn't do this.

Russia just got a free hand to develop mid-range missiles. Yeah, that'll show them!

Well, even the head of NATO agreed with this move, also saying that Russia was no longer in compliance. Perhaps leverage can be brought to create a new treaty with better verification in place. As Reagan said, Trust but Verify.

As such, I tend to agree with Trump: if Russia is ignoring the treaty, why should be keep observing it?

This.

Russia wasn't complying anyway and now they have been handed the best excuse they could have ever hoped for to put even more missiles in place. Of course, Trump is too stupid to understand diplomacy, so he fell right into Putin's hands.

Did you even read the article? We are pulling out of the agreement to remove constraints on ourselves essentially, since over the last several years we have been the only ones continuing to adhere to the deal. Putin/Russia have been violating the deal for years without any sort of push back from the US. Ending this deal means we are essentially making the playing field even again, since Russia hasn't been following the rules for quite some time. I do enjoy the spin you decided to put on the story. It's too bad all one has to do is simply research the subject to see all the holes in your summation.

It's called leadership. Something the U.S. has been doing for over 70 years. Besides, wtf do we need more nukes for? All this accomplished was giving Putin the moral high ground on this issue. Something he desperately wanted.
