Getting rid of Trump isn't a viable excuse to do this. Didn't you learn that two wrongs don't make it right?
The left is raking more and more "wrongs" lately and it doesn't make it right. It makes it ugly.
Independents are full of Americans who no longer want to associate themselves with team politics and we're growing. That should speak to you. Ask yourself why.
https://www.bustle.com/articles/1576...ou-think-it-is Even though American politics is focused on two binary political parties, the Democrats and the Republicans, the 2016 primary cycle has shown that independents are the voters to watch. In fact, independents are the fastest growing constituency of American voters.
I believe this ^ is one reason the left is afraid of independents and they should be, but trying to harass a candidate out of the race will just solidify the reason I'm an independent. These tactics are why I left the Dems.
The Left consists of all kinds of people. Not just knee-jerk Democrats. Many of them, like myself, are independents at heart. Most of these crappy Democratic politicians are neoliberals. They lie about helping the middle class and working poor. But I have voted for independent candidates before and have been extremely disappointed. Neoliberals are bad, but Trump is worse.
I heard him on a talk show this week and thought he'll pull more Republican voters than Democratic. He's anti-union, not for universal health care and is definitely pro-business. He could draw the greenies who tend to be democratic but there are a lot of republican who also are about the invironment.

The illiberal left are having spaz attacks over Schultz because they know he will win the classically liberal left's vote.
Schultz's run has more to do with regaining the heart and soul of the Democratic Party than it does with winning the presidency.
Democrats have been compromised by socialist insurgents. Schultz is a democrat who makes sense and we haven't seen one of those in awhile. He scares the leftists, and rightly so.

That would more closely represent my position. He's said nothing to make me interested in him. He reads to me like a more mature Donald Trump.
