A driver took umbrage at a pedestrian walking in the roadway, Cape Coral police say, and pulled a gun on him after an exchange.
According to a news release ..., Dale A. Jamison, 69, of Cape Coral, was driving a Ford truck ... Thursday when he saw a person walking.
According to the pedestrian, he was walking south in the northbound lane of the road ..., the report indicated. Jamison pulled up next to him and yelled at him for walking down the middle of the road.
As Jamison started to leave, the pedestrian shouted, “That was rude”, the report indicates.
Jamison stopped the truck and waited for him to walk by the vehicle.
Police said Jamison pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the pedestrian, with a school bus dropping off students about 50 feet away.
...
Jamison was arrested and taken to Lee County Jail, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless exhibition of a firearm.
So a pedestrian, minding his own business, could've gotten murdered for "talking back" to a gunman apparently looking for trouble. But Heaven forbid anyone suggest confiscating this lunatic's firearms.
Of course, here in Florida he'd probably claim he was Standing his Ground against the pedestrian.

Cape Coral Police Officers were able to locate Jamison at his residence where he was outside doing yard work. During the investigation Officer H. Esterle located a Taurus handgun holstered in the waist band of Jamison. This firearm was loaded and taken into custody as evidence.
But not to worry - he'll get his gun back. He may not like the way his neighbor is walking her dog and need to strike up a conversation.

[quote=Corvette Ministries;54327828]Turns out the cops did "confiscate" the weapon.
So we got that cleared up.....but then you can't just let it go....you have to speculate further because it didn't go the way you thought it did.
Furthermore you added " " around confiscate which makes no logical sense because they DID take his gun away but you're flailing to wipe the egg of your face and so pretending that maybe they really didn't...might have made you feel better but instead it made you look less honest.

Is this really how you think you're going to influence people? Dishonesty and speculation substituted for reality?

They really need to move to NY. They'd fit in there...

Saying something rude to a person is one thing but reacting with a gun is out of line. Seriously, I wonder what the most realistic way to handle local gun violence is.
