You don't seem to be very good at explaining how things work but do keep trying.

It's laughable, instead of forming a cohesive argument based on knowledge they work backwards from the point to form the argument. This of course leads to things like contradicting yourself as you have nicely pointed out.

I guess the question for Chopchop is which is it? You cant argue two sides of the same coin.

Oops!

It was Obama who said energy prices would skyrocket under his plan, he didn't exempt gasoline prices.

Obama's energy czar said we need to raise US gasoline prices to that of Europe.

Obama thought he had some control over gasoline prices as did his energy czar.

that's odd, Obama borrowed a term from Putin's lexicon and called all his regulator heads, CZARs. Well what do you know!

How low are gas prices in your area?
He's for energy independence and is a big proponent of it; however, no president can ever control gas prices, regardless of who is in office. That's great that the prices are down, but President Trump can't control where it all goes.

Gas prices were lower in early 2016: https://ycharts.com/indicators/gas_price

I was looking for your post from 2016 calling Obama the king of gas prices, but couldn't find it.

If a President's policies make it easier for domestic oil companies to increase production, then it is possible for gas prices to come down as a result of that.

Simple supply side economics.

That's not it at all.

After 3 years of price increases, gas is getting cheaper in 2019

Oil prices mostly fell last week, as market observers continue to believe that the global crude market is over-supplied

Here is the thread from less than 2 years ago blaming trump for higher gas prices.

It makes for a funny read after this thread.

Also there is a link in post #14 to the 2014 thread that touched on this topic.
