The American people who deal with it daily know that there's been an emergency on our Southern Border for decades. How many more Americans have to die at the hands of illegals before you start to acknowledge the truth? How many more completely preventable injuries, crimes and deaths will we have to see before you acknowledge the truth?

Quite frankly it has been a national emergency for the last 50 years or so. None of the previous administrations (Republican or Democrat) REALLY wanted to resolve the issue. Unfortunately a lot of clueless people in our nation don't believe it is an emergency or for that matter, even important to secure our borders. Why? Because most have not have been personally impacted. As I've noted before, several of my family members were nearly killed by 4 illegals....to me it IS an emergency!

Emergencies, by their nature, are emergent. It's in the name. If there is time to lay out the issues for months on end, it's - not an emergency. The Presidential right to declare an emergency is not there to provide a petulant Chief Executive a way of circumventing Congress by royal decree.

The people who live close to the border know there is an emergency. A bus load passed me yesterday, from Laredo going to the immigration office. I can't wait till they are at your door step. Some of you guys need to rethink this.

I actually hope Trump tries this. It could finally force the GOP's hand.

Damned if he does.

Damned if he doesn't.

Yep. Awesome, isn't it?

And what's even more awesome is that Trump, the master negotiator, has done this to himself. He's put himself in this god awful position to where he loses either way.

Meet Will Hurd. Republican, Texan, has 800 miles of border in his district, and considers the wall a bone-headed idea.

That's impressive. Was this painted on the side of the bus, or did your X-ray vision provide you with this useful piece of trivia?
