This is something wall advocates just can not seem to understand. A wall slows intruders. It does not stop them. There are literally dozens of ways to breach a wall, including a simple ladder.
What you need to actually stop anyone is first, detect them and second, interdiction or boots on the ground.
If someone sneaks over a wall with a ladder and no one knows, you have accomplished nothing.
This proposal is almost fool proof detection and interdiction is as it always has been, hopefully quickly and efficiently.

We are spending MORE then that now EVERY YEAR for illegals who ARE here NOW.
Increase the numbers of illegals and the cost go UP EVERY YEAR.
Building GOOD walls is basically a 1 time expense.
For years we had single men crossing to work, or do mischief. Now it is families. The government does not know how to handle the new persons who are seeking asylum.
There is funding to hire more judges to move the process along. Have they been hired?
Has the issue of giving land and buildings to Mexico been resolved?
One time expense. How much is being spent today to repair and maintain the barricades built years ago?
How long and with what equipment you do think it will take to tunnel under wall 6 ' below ground with sensors, drones etc. and other technical equipment BEFORE being noticed?
Cidiots that have never been out in the sticks have no idea how bad it is. People that actually are out there, either working or by choice, know it's a critical problem.
