It was fine, about what I'd expect. They're at least able to get him to read prepared remarks off off a teleprompter for events like this, so he can't say anything too stupid like at his campaign rallies.

I think the most telling thing is just the gulf between the unity talk here and the rhetoric and actions during non-SOTU times.

Personally, I feel SOTU is a pretty useless endeavor under any President. They could just do away with it. Nothing new is shared there. It really accomplishes nothing. It's just another forum for partisan grandstanding and incessant clapping.
