I'd like to see Trump shut down the gov. for 30 days and open it back up for 3 weeks continuously until Pelosi is convinced to honestly compromise. It would run out the clock on many of their needless investigations too.
IMO if it shuts down it must last far longer, to thoroughly teach a lesson.
90 days sounds like the next logical length of time to shut down. Open for 2 weeks, no barrier money, make next one 180 days.

Do try to maintain some semblance of dignity b/c we are just getting started with what Trump should do.
Once he shuts down the gov. he needs to set up a tent city on the border and move all his staff and functions to that location. Hold open invitations to democrat leaders to join him as he gives them a tour. Maybe issue some wanted posters with Chuck and Nancy's face on them inviting them to see first hand how destructive their position is and offer a reward for anyone that can get through to those imbeciles and change their minds.
Hold morning and afternoon press conferences inviting a long succession of Angle Families and share their experiences seven days a week. Dedicate a space for a future memorial to Angle Families, and BP, who have lost their lives in service protecting citizens.
Go full Walker and Lone Ranger on the Dems and introduce his sidekick Poncho, the legal immigrant, as they ride the border line singing "Trump and Poncho" to the tune of "Poncho and Lefty".

My understanding is that the sticking point is how many "beds" will be allowed for ICE detainees. The reporting coming out is not talking about the wall issue. It sounds as though some areas have been agreed to.
It takes all parties to come to an agreement, but I think Trump will come out with the bulk of the blame if another shut down happens. After all, he had agreed to a plan in December, but backtracked when a few of his "base" personalities objected. So he really led us into this. The country knows that.

I can't imagine the foolishness or what hideous form they would assume to think that Trump is going to give up on his # 1 responsibility to protect the people of this nation.

The Dems want less beds and that releases more criminals into the country with no bed space catch and release. How in the world is that providing border security ? The Dems are negotiating for more crime.
