Its simple. Socialism is a system where the government owns and operates the means of production.
Bernie Sanders, and Cortez say 'socialism', but they do not promote socialism, they promote social democracy, as in Nordic countries which have free market economies with taxpayer funded social programs like health care and education. They would look better if they used proper terms to describe what they promote. Cortez might not even know the difference, but Sanders has no excuses.
since ronald reagan came into office we have seen trickle down economics going to generate all kinds of wealth for the country...its been nearly forty years and 3 or four tax-cuts later...whats taking so long????
the fact is wealth disparity has grown every more...the solution is to find out how much we can re install the taxes for the rich and give out money to the needy
the right says the big money will leave...to where when most of the world is already partly socialist???
there exist tax havens run by the good old bank-of-England that would also have to be looked at..
what will happen is socialism by degrees as the older folks die off..maybe the next 10-30 years it will not be a complete system wide takeover but only small changes over time...
if you think the medical/healthcare field is run better by capitalism you had better start demanding we get rid of socialist ideas such as legislating treatment by law in emergency rooms! lol
Exactly!! This is what's so scary about these Dimocrats they are not bright enough to know what they are
Asking. They desperately need to be educated if that is possible.
