“So, should white boys still be allowed to share their “opinions”? Should we be forced to listen? In honor of Black History Month, I’m gonna go with a hell no.“
tough luck, cupcake. free speech isn’t just for you.
Should racist misandrists who are so oppressed that they are able to attend a $50,000 per year college be allowed to talk? Yes, they should. It's called Freedom of Speech, and it's one of the cornerstones of America. (Hint to the author of this piece: this freedom applies to white boys too. Just sayin'.)
So as both a white boy with one of the names in the article, and a supporter of social justice who thinks that there are a lot of ill-informed opinions out there, I would say that this article has both some good points and some significant flaws in terms of broad generalizations and logical conclusions.

She missed my name, but not really. I'll continue to dismiss things that come from bigots whether they be on Storm Front or an opinion piece from a college newspaper. White men have an equal right to have an opinion of topics such as feminism. Minorities and women, likewise, have an equal right to have an opinion on white male privilege. Just because they are not white males does not exclude them from having opinions on it. White men have no special duty to not dismiss opinions that don't come from other white men. They have the same duty everyone else does to not be close-minded bigots that everyone has. If one does not want his/her opinions dismissed based on the substance, not coming across as a bigot is important. It has the tendency to result in your opinions being dismissed by anyone not entrenched in a particular flavor of bigotry.
