Just curious: what do Republicans have to gain by this? The Governor's medical school yearbook didn't come out while he was campaigning, and the Lieutenant Governor's accusers weren't reported while he was campaigning, either. The first accuser went to the Washington Post put they didn't run her story because they couldn't corroborate it (which has never stopped them before). Seems to me they were willing to keep the dirt on the DL until it became advantageous to air it out. Now everybody is in a catch-22.

They somehow managed to get a DNC volunteer to acuse Fairfax of forcing her to give him oral sex? He even agreed that the act happened, just claimed it was consensual. The women accusing him are both black democrats, why would they collude with Republicans? Is it that difficult to admit the truth?

I heard that when the second accuser came forward several of Fairfax's staff quit. Job hunting, I guess.
