home used the time to save enough to purchase their own home.

Some let lemons go bad while others make lemonade.

That was not the case on the individuals I knew of that came to mind to me.. Every generation has its losers and winners and there were and are many loser baby boomers.. Same with millenials and any other generation.

Don't look at boomers as talking down to you.
You are blessed that someone gives a crap to take the
time out to talk to you. There are many who don't.
Listen carefully to what they have to say.
Do not be afraid to ask questions such as
what would you do in a situation like this or that.
Learn from their experience.

Their is no greater knowledge than the experience of others.

God Bless your mother.
She sounds like an amazing woman.

The mother that nagged you as a boy is the matriarch you admire today as a man.

Oh but his grandkids.... he sure left a better place than what was left to him.

That is the part of the objective of having children.

My immigrant non English speaking parents struggled so see me (son of immigrant parents)
off into a future with promise. It is only befitting to do the same by passing it forward.

Hateful hypocrites!
Welcome back to the board.
I am glad your interests still draw you to how the other side thinks.
I hope that your rage settles one day so that your thoughts can give room
to something more positive ( even if not mine ) that will sink in one day
and lead you to the success you aspire .
Best wishes my motivated friend.

I worry about Nephew 2 and his wife.
I thank him for his service.
We are free because of his military dedication.

I am guessing his 80% disabled wife is home bound. Sad.
Unfortunate burden placed on a man who himself is not well.
Life is truly never fair in many instances.
Those dependent on government assistance usually stay and remain stuck their entire lives.
His 60% disability ( if mental ) requires continued care which sounds like he is not getting.
As the Aunt and Uncle, if his parents can not help , I would help him towards that goal.
Best of wishes.
Wife of nephew 1 wanted to be a RN. RN is out because they have to walk a lot and lift patients which is now out obviously. They were both medics. He has no knees but walks okay now at age 25ish. It will be a big problem age 50. She walks okay but it took out her knees and ankles. Ive been told she rolled her ankles enough to ruin them. NOTHING stopping her from an inside desk job. I have not met her and do not know how smart she is. Nephew 2 is probably right along the median in IQ so no rocket science jobs for him. He DOES HAVE a valid CDL he is not taking advantage of. (Drive me nuts) Local routes abound even if he does not want to do long haul. I mentioned to him in passing so as not to be a douche that there are tons of 60-80K a year CDL jobs. This is once in a lifetime opportunity for people with CDL right now. In 10 years it will likely not be so good. They live in a semi rural area with meh job availability because they like the area because it is pretty.

I know it is his choice but it drives me nuts that he is not taking advantage of obvious opportunity before kids and mortgage time him up and tie him down.

Nephew 2 likely has an IQ in the 115 to 120 range. Definitely above the median but not in the 130 to 140 range. Still, above average IQ and WAY above average in drive.

I hope you are correct. I hope some slightly younger woman with a solid brain and solid drive (and yes solid looks but real world looks above "pretty enough" is a bonus. Sweet, sane, smart > hot) turns his head to balance him a bit. Even his mom is worrying about his current work only life.

Imagine having this worldview lmfao.

This is the kind of crap we're forced to deal with. This mindset is what causes the problems, not gender expression or anything else that Fox News pearl clutchers get themselves all worked up over.
