From where did this notion that Alinsky invented the strategy of ridiculing ones political opponents come from? Do its proponents really think it didn't happen before "Rules for Radicals" was published? This stuff was happening back in ancient Greece.

And the whole Pocahontas thing isn't Trump turning the tables on the Dems. Trump used the same nonsense on his opponents in the primaries.

Anyone comparing Trump to anyone else as POTUS with his words and tweeting etc are blind to how far he takes verbal attacking versus anyone else before him. That's why I think he's a toolbag. I use that word having nothing to do with his politics.

The real problem is, do the Democrats really have any viable candidates to beat Trump? I was partly surprised Trump won in the first place, but not really because Clinton was such a meh candidate, as is Warren. If the left wants to make a move they better come up with something much better.
I agree with you and I'm from the other side of the political spectrum. Trump is not a politician. He can be a tool but he's being a tool pointing out the truth of the matter. That's how you win.

Socialists think their time is now. They think this is their chance. I think they are going to get blown out of the water. Especially when people understand the real cost of "feel-good" leftist policies. Trump is going to let people know what that cost is.

You prop up Palin while using Obama. Why don't you come out of your glass house before you throw stones at mine. Listen I wanted Palin since i voted for McCain but as time went on, Palin proved to be a dolt.

Exactly, and many ate it up. Remember lying Ted and little Marco? What about Crooked Hillary?

Obama ridiculed and mocked his opponents numerous times.

Trump is a douchbag and people like OP lap it up.
If the Russkie and paid trolls and bots are filtered out, all that is left of Trump's base would be birthers and other various low-life Trump kindred spirits.

Pocahontas ? I prefer Lie a Watha....

Warren has really screwed her campaign up before it even got going. I don't know who her advisers are but they should be fired for thinking that she has a chance.

I live in Mass and I can't stand her but there are many that love her. I don't get it.

I think Trump would bury her.

I'll await for the debates to form my opinion on who is the best candidate. I'll agree, I'm not sure Warren is right, mostly for falling into the trap. I don't know who we need and who else should and would run, but it is too early to hitch to a horse. Talk to me this time next year and I may have a better chance of telling you who should be the Democratic nominee.

False.

I'll call Trump out for the idiot he is. But I still call him Trump. I don't call him "white fat man" every time I reference him.

The right has been labeling Warren by a race-inspired derogatory name since Trump came up with that.

All it does is show stupidity and ignorance.

"Today Elizabeth Warren, sometimes referred to by me as Pocahontas, joined the race for President. Will she run as our first Native American presidential candidate, or has she decided that after 32 years, this is not playing so well anymore? See you on the campaign TRAIL, Liz!"

By constantly referring to her as "Pocahontas", he's done several things:

1) First he has established and firmly entrenched the narrative on her, on her dishonestly, that she repeatedly lied about being an Indian. He even forced her to make a ridiculous promo-ad in which she paid an 'expert' to conduct a DNA test on her, which basically proved his assertion that she is NOT an Inidan.

2) He has established the narrative on Warren as a subject of ridicule. The leftwing media isn't used to this. THEY are the ones used to calling the shots to form public opinion. Trump has overridden them. The media's attempts to frame Trump as racist towards Indians or misogynistic have all failed. They would have brought down lesser men. The ridicule technique works especially well with Warren, because she's slightly goofy with her frequent and pious outrage. She's like the bitchy English teacher in 10th grade everybody hated.

3) Most importantly, Trump is using the Saul Alinsky method of ridicule AGAINST the Marxists. Said Alinsky:

“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. It is also
infuriating to the opposition, which reacts to your advantage, and there is no defense against it"

And this is exactly what Trump has done to the left and Warren. She's toast. Well done, Mr. President !
She will try to turn this around by claiming to be the victim of lies told to her by her dead mother, best believe.
