If the food at a place is good at a place who cares the ethnicity of the chef or cook ?
In L.A many of the cooks in restaurants are Hispanic . Would social justice warriors get their panties in a bunch over that?
In the SJWs's defense, an "authentic Asian restaurant" carries more weight if some of the main chefs are Asian or Asian-American. On the flip side, Asia is so big and has so many cultures, that there are too many to pick from to make an "authentic Asian restaurant". Truth be told, when I think of Asia, I tend to think of Russia, India, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Japan, both Koreas, etc. I do know that the various -stan countries and parts of the Middle East are also Asian.
In the realm of political correctness, the most odious aspect of it is without a doubt the concept of "cultural appropriation."
We've seen this with the nonsense over non-blacks having dreadlocks and braids and even a white high school student who received some criticism for wearing a Chinese dress to her prom.
And now this. I didn't realize authenticity of a cuisine had anything to do with the race/ethnicity of the person preparing it.

It has nothing to do with the chef, it's all about the ingredients and techniques used that make it authentic
I think some people need a life if they are offended by this (Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant.)
I think people are just getting beyond silly anymore. I've heard that down in TJ that there are supposedly some of the best Chinese food restaurants around. I've heard this a few times over the years.
Mexican people cooking some of the best Chinese food around, yep, has to be some racism in there somewhere.

~Sigh~ Those stupid snowflakes are now just looking for something that offends them so they can continue to take away our world. It's high time we put an end to political correctness once and for all.
I'm sure that restaurant would have some pretty good grub. Gordon should know.
