Yah, because what happened was the fake news put up a headline "Harrison Ford Slams Trump for Being on the Wrong Side of History" or some such silly twaddle. I didn't even bother reading the story.
I will say one thing for Ford, a long time ago I read that he was part of a coalition that bought up large parcels of vacant land around the country to provide migratory routes and habitat for wildlife. And I honor him for that. It's just that I'm not a fan of celebrity soapboxes. I agree with the OP, it does rather demean their art and their image. For example, over decades thousands of women idolized and fantasized about certain men in Hollywood who became romantic idols, only to later find out they're gay, NTTAWWT. But kind of a cruel trick and a fraud, if you ask me, on both the actor and the fans. It is difficult to buy that person in the role of (hetero) romantic idol or even family man after that, just sayin'.
