"Their Careers Are Over:" Real Estate Brokers Furious At Politicians For Shock Amazon Withdrawal
"I think those local politicians, their careers are over," said Eric Benaim, chief executive officer of Modern Spaces, a Long Island City brokerage, who distributed pins and posters supporting the Amazon deal. "They’re responsible for losing 25,000 jobs.
What do they expect. New Yorkers keep electing these democrat loons over & over and now they reap the benefits. 25,000 high paying jobs gone, and I predict a real estate crash too.
Why is it that the taxpayers should be subsidizing NY Real Estate brokers?

The black residents of the nearby housing projects came out in support of the Amazon deal.
There were never any guarantees that local residents would get those jobs.
Amazon transfers workers all around the country.
They import a lot too.

It is high time we put the responsibility for poverty where it belongs most of the time: On the individual who fails to engage in simple rational exercises like finishing school, not committing crimes, not voluntarily putting drugs and alcohol in their mouths, not producing babies out of wedlock and before the right time, and getting a simple job in an economy with 96% employment.

It is not a company's responsibility to "give back" to correct individuals who intentionally make bad choices.

While life has some bad luck, and we can help those relatively few with taxpayer assistance, most people who are drug addicts and/or homeless PURSUED BAD LUCK WITH A PASSION by intentionally doing stupid things.

It is not Amazon's responsibility to hand these people money. Which they will **** away on more stupidity anyway in most cases.
So you agree that it’s a good thing they won’t be hiring in NYC then.
Sure wouldn’t want any of these slackers “given’ the opportunity to pull themselves up out of poverty now, would we?

Don't you argue against it? I do not argue that the poor should subsidize the rich.

I am positive that the politicians that represent these poor areas are determined to not see them succeed. Once people start doing well the AOC's, Pochantas and Bernie Sanders of the world to name a few can't scream race inequality and economic disparity.

The people of NY lost big time today. When you take other issues into consideration that have come to light in recent days in regards to the near $3 BILLION dollar budget hole due to people of any means fleeing the state, the abhorrent way Codifying Roe V Wade was handled by Cuomo and the Dems that had seen a lot of pushback, Cuomo's decision to close needed power plants to pacify the Radical left. Then throw this unmitigated disaster of Amazon bailing out you can't help but think this type of cascading effect can have long term on a City and State and this could be the beginning of the end for this state. We are witnessing what happens when you allow people to run on platforms of FREE FREE FREE. Well, the time to pay the check is upon us and guess what. Those of us who foot the bill in way of taxes are walking out the door. This is how Detriot became what Detriot is today. Do you think it can't happen to NY? Think again. it has already started.

Most people have been mistakenly believing that NYC would give money to AMZN while in reality it would have retained a fraction of the taxes it would have paid as the link mentioned, the city would not have had to front any money. It would have been a great investment with a return expected to bring more than 10 times the amount granted in tax cuts.

Hmm. Nope. I simply point out the facts about it. And now here we are 25,000 jobs gone.

3 billion dollars. Just think what might get done if something like 3 billion became available to small businesses in a community.
