All they were looking for were massive tax break to continue to have record profits,
I guess she doesn't realize Amazon's net profit margin was 4.18% last quarter, with most quarters before that at less than 1%. That's razor sharp by retail standards.

No argument from me there either but it doesn't negate the point. You can be right and a hypocrite at the same time unfortunately.

That isn't how Bezo's became a billionaire. He would not be one if his wealth came strictly from Capitalist ventures.

My professional colleague thought that Stewart Air Force Base in Newburgh, New York makes much much sense. I think he's right. I hold no flag for AOC but I think she's right here. A stopped clock is right twice a day after all.

So, here's the question I would like answered:
Why is Amazon now not going to build this additional headquarters?

That the original (claimed) 50,000 person headquarters was split in two was always odd to me.
Now after getting cities all over the country to jump through hoops, they decide that they don't even need to house 50,000 anywhere.

Why?

New York was bucking at giving them a half billion dollars in free construction. Capitalists love that free stuff.

It was all smoke and mirrors to what they really wanted.

Amazon will still have its original HQ in Seattle

Amazon is still moving forward with its plans for a headquarters2 in Crystal City, as well as the operation center in Nashville.
The Arlington campus is expected to be 25,000-35,000 employees. The Nashville office is expected to have 5,000-10,000 employees

NYS and NYC lost out because of loud mouthed idiots like AOC
