I have a client who is an exec at Cummins Diesel who said the same thing. Do some grunt work in the Diesel Mechanic industry for a few years and then you are set.
Pick a career! Elevator mechanic, pipe fitter, HVAC, welder, UPS driver, carpenter, electrician etc. Will you be rich? Nope but you'll make decent pay with beneys. Decent jobs are out there.
40 million people or more died under various forms of Socialism in the 20th century. More are dying now in Venezuela. It earned that stigma.
Only the most clueless of history would think it's a good idea to return to such nonsense.
Funny the right wingers always bring up Venezuela as what will happen if socialism is allowed. They simultaneously ignore Canada, Denmark, New Zealand, etc, all successful countries in great shape.

You won't have $100,000+ in your bank account either. I'm a truck driver, soon to be teamster, and make good money, but wouldn't be able to weather a manor financial medical emergency either, get real

That poster once claimed to be an engineer working for Warren Buffet's BNSF and as such he doesn't have to worry because as a member of one of the largest unions in the U.S. (a socialist collective) his medical benefits are comprehensive and fully PAID FOR!

Incorrect. You don't get Social Security unless you paid into it. But yes, FDR was a closet socialist. He seized everyone's gold coinage, replaced it with fiat FRNs, then promptly devalued it 50%. That's how he paid for his social programs. Cost us another 7 years of economic depression.
