I completely agree. I am talking about helping Americans. Americans who deserve help because not everyone is talented, smart, has advantages, has good luck, knows the right people, etc. Lots of things can get in the way.

And we shouldn't have more socialism until we can guarantee that illegals aren't getting free help. This is for Americans. Once you start letting people get it for free when they haven't paid into it, it won't work.Everyone has to pay their fair share. We can't even set up single payer health insurance until we're sure that people like illegals won't be gaming the system.

There has to be a middle ground between full blown socialism (which does not work) -- and your statement.

If we had smart, competent people running things, we could find a middle ground. But we don't have that. All these politicians care about is getting re-elected.

Why do we need a politician to solve a problem? Right now part of my taxes are going to help the needy. Because of that, I am limited in what I do for charity. If the federal government taxed me for only the items in Article 1, Section 8 then I would give much more to charity.

Roads are called for in the Constitution. My federal taxes (preferably gas tax) should pay for the interstate and US highway system. During the "stimulus" started by the last administration, federal money paid for 2 stop lights near my house. That is not right. Cuebald's taxes should not pay for my stoplight. That should be taxed and spent at the local level. Same with your example of airports.

Dont forget the trust fund. If he can afford a jet, Ill take a wild guess that he is well into the actual rich category.

If he can build his own vehicles, he is also well over the typical IQ and ability category.

Its just someone of above average everything saying ME ME ME ME ME. He is far from the only one.

Insulin is an oligopoly controlling prices. Monopolistic behavior is okay now. Big Pharma makes sure of it by buying congress (BOTH parties)

If he's to be believed about his employment, all that talk about how he looks after himself is just bushwah. A collective is looking after his welfare for him. Fancy that...a hypocrite. Whodda guessed.
If that's true, then yes a hypocrite of the highest degree.

He seems to pick and choose what HE believes is paying his own way, and then uses things that for lack of a better word, the " collective " has paid for.

It's not a weird question for someone who has stated in other threads that he is Catholic.

To be fair to the man; he has claimed ownership of a twin engined aircraft and that could be a turbine equipped prop driven plane that requires a level of JB fuel commonly called just Jet Fuel.

He has made many claims in the past such as making more money than he can spend while working overtime driving trainloads of crude for Warren Buffet and that would of course put him easily into six figure territory. His intellect notwithstanding, if he's been in any way "smart" with his investments and given his stated age of 60 yrs. He could well afford all of those things he's hinted at over his post history.

That is not to say; affording his lifestyle has not been made easier by his membership in a union or group that has provided him those benefits he's claimed to taken his own responsibility for. NO UNION allows the opting out of membership and still be employed by a "closed shop". NO union allows you to forego benefits and receive compensation in lieu of. An employer might, but not a unionized one (virtually ALL) that includes benefits in their collective agreements. The only Unions I know of that receive compensation in lieu of benefits are those very rare examples of unions that administer their own medical benefits as a bulk buyer and negotiate a top-up of cents per hour in addition to hourly rate paid directly to them such as the BCTW&GM IU.

In short; he's one of the few blue collar middle class STILL enjoying all of the perks that group was ONCE noted for during it's Unionized "hey-days" but is now struggling to maintain any semblance of.

Instead of an "I've got mine, fugg you" attitude; he should merely give thanks for the sacrifices made by those who went before him to fight for HIS future before he was even born.

They have no problem throwing unlimited amounts of taxpayer money at one of the biggest socialist program out there....the U.S military.

Only the most clueless of history would think it's a good idea to return to such nonsense.
So? A million and a half people died from just one capitalist venture known as the Vietnam War.
