Speaking now and will cover many topics as usual including border security. Trade, economy, foreign policy, sanctions, are some of the topics.

Is announcing the national security crisis/national emergency right now.

Watch live: Trump to address border security, expected to declare national emergency

I really like Trump- It's refreshing to see a POTUS who won't put up with political BS as usual and actually gets things done.

Hopefully we will have presidents of similar stripe in the future who are not professional politicians who simply perpetuate the mess that is Washington DC politics.

He must be nervous.

This could blow up in his face bigly. Besides, no matter what he does now Ann Coulter will not be happy.

I agree with you about executive power grabs being part of how republics die. Our republic is dying, currently there is a power struggle between left and right about who will control it but in the end our democratic system is likely doomed. Socialism is incompatible with our constitution, if the left wins we will live under their boot.

Sadly the future of this nation may either be a Putin type figure ruling this nation as a right wing strong man or a leftist like Hugo Chavez. The division in this country and the general ignorance of our population is making democracy impossible. In the end I will support my conservative values in order to prevent a socialist regime from rising in America but I do wish we could go back and put things back the way they were.

Democrats and Republicans used to be rational, Americans used to have a sense of unity, we never before had 40 percent of our population calling for socialism, never had people demanding the curbing of 1rst and 2nd amendment rights. We really have already gone to far. Very few people have the correct values for our republican form of democracy to work. I hope time can prove me wrong but I feel it will not. It is only a matter of time before someone on the left seriously challenges the constitution and demands a new one.

The question is, and has been from the start: Is a wall the most efficient expenditure of federal monies to help curb illegal immigration?

I don't think it is.

Border security and a border wall are not the same thing.

You were, of course, saying the same thing about all of Obama's executive actions, too, yes?

He can do all the talk he wants about evoking National Emergency, but he does not have the final say on that , it will be tied up so long in litigation that he will be in a wheelchair before it would ever happen.

Save your "Winning !" just in case he ever does accomplish something, so far, that ain't happened.

Lol. Pelosi got played big time. Trump put the spot light on her and it showed her for what she really is. A shill for illegal immigrants. He gave that old hag enough rope for her to hang herself lol.

Good luck with the TDS. Maybe spend a few hours in your safe space with some crayons?

Thank Trump for all his court appointments and all the ones over the next two years also.

Power needs to be tested. It should be tested.
We have a right to know what kind of country we are going to have.

It could put the brakes on Trumps attempt at a power grab. This has nothing to do with a National emergency. This is Trump's ego, pure and simple.
It s a LIE FEST, FAKE NEWS RALLY, desecration of the Rose Garden.

Molten lava lies pour from this beast . It s a miracle to behold.
He just said he has so much money he doesnt know what to do with it.

Now he s saying Obama put more debt on the country then any other president in the history of our country combined. And on top of that Obama was on the brink of war with North Korea.

Which branch of government is responsible for straight jacket ing this unfit person at the podium.

The list of still active national emergencies include:

List of the 31 active national emergencies:
1. Blocking Iranian Government Property (Nov. 14, 1979)
2. Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (Nov. 14, 1994)
3. Prohibiting Transactions with Terrorists Who Threaten to Disrupt the Middle East Peace Process (Jan. 23, 1995)

31. Blocking Property of Certain Persons Contributing to the Situation in Nicaragua (Nov 27, 2018)

Emergency funding for a border wall is not in contradiction of any of these other existing items.

The Supreme Court will not rule against Trump on this, it will be built
Exactly, but there's no way you're going to get that through the noggins of a bunch of dumbed down, drugged up Dollar Store product-pinchers. Trump has helped them. They get to feel superior to POTUS. Takes a lot of pharmacy to feel that way, though.

well…Trump just called the liberals out

We want open borders…..the law is immoral…children and adults dying in the desert and drugs is what we want

if elected, liberals would have declared emergency's anyway....we have to pass it so we can read what's in it
