Moot point, there are legislative mechanisms to override presidential declarations of National Emergencies. The court ruling in favor of presidential discretion would not change nor quash the rights of congress, it would merely affirm existing law and precedent

Good luck with the TDS. Maybe spend a few hours in your safe space with some crayons?

Pelosi got played? Dear oh dear...

Trump came out of this far worse than the deal he was offered before the shutdown!
You've got to be a 'special' kind of person to believe Trump is the one that got played. Good luck with your imaginary TDS.

Democrats on the appropriations committee are already saying that they will call these generals that Trump talked about to testify under oath to ask them point blank: do they believe "the wall" is more important than other military construction projects."

There was just a story on CBS evening news last night about how military housing across the country is crumbling. Military members nationwide is dealing with mold, rodents, termites, and flooding issues. Trump is going to take over THREE BILLION dollars from military construction projects, which could mean some of the military housing will not be renovated.

I'd really love to hear the generals speak to that.

With about two minutes of fact checking we can debunk the border security emergency nonsense. Reality is that after 9/11 the security of our southern border increased dramatically. Thrump's claim of a "crisis on the border" is false from the get-go. Normally a President would learn from his predecessors and adopt the practices and tactics that worked for them. But because Trump lied during his campaign about this, he has to follow the lie to the bitter end. Even if it means provoking a Constitutional crisis.

Not one more is my answer. Angle families should not be a growing segment of the population if it can be prevented and it can be decreased if not prevented.

How many have died for lack of a wall? Do you actually know or will you just make up a number like Trump made up El Paso crime stats?

BTW, I'm not calling for anyone to declare it a national emergency but since you brought up dead Americans:

Even you have to admit almost 100/month is quite a few. Where's the concern?

TheBaldBlur, that's all you have by now. No achievements, no competent government, nothing but the shortlived giggle that comes with having the ability to provoke a reaction.

Grow up.

The entire Wall issue, is just a microcosm for Trump overall, he feels like he knows the solution to every problem. It doesn't matter what the opposition says, nor what his own party says, nor what actual non-biased experts say.

Trump knows everything, he has all the unique knowledge no one else can have, because he is........Donald Trump. This has been the way he has thought about every issue.

He is trying to get the Wall built because......he wants a Wall. There doesn't need to be any other justification in his mind. Just listen to the way he talks about himself on a daily basis, every single thing he says or does includes "......in the history of the country" The man is delusional.

As much of a waste of resources the Wall will be, I shudder to think what happens when Trump starts getting "bright ideas" about pre-imminent war.
