Obama had plenty, and I think over 10 are still active. They all do it and a lot of them are self-serving. Dems love it when it's their president doing it.

You mean those things we ignore until they grown in large proportion? No, this is the broken immigration system that we've ignored for years. Each president saying he'll deal with it. Are you saying the ones who passed it down were correct to do so? Trump should have just ignored it?
There is a large portion of people in America who hold jobs adversely affected by illegal immigration. Would you rather they ignore the problem and just suck up some welfare?
Mine is one of them, and I for one want to fix it. There is no reason why America should have such a broken immigration system in 2019. It's embarrassing. If people want open borders then we need to make it a law. Ignoring the problem isn't a solution.

This is not new money. Once it goes to the Dept of Defense, the president can redirect it. The DOD is part of the Executive Branch.
Absolutely incorrect. In fact, that he CANNOT do it is precisely why Trump's declaring a national emergency - that will provide limited authority. Without a national emergency, he could "redirect" only limited funds, for example within Homeland Security. The problem is the appropriations he can reach did not contain sufficient money for a wall.
And even then all his talk about taking just a "tiny" bit of the total Defense budget under the national emergency declaration is poppycock. He STILL can only reach certain funds - one of which is military infrastruture.

Trump managed to ramble his way into at least one outright falsehood during the announcement. He said the military infrastructure funds he wants to raid are not already "allocated." That's wrong. There is no general slush fund, or at least not one that contains much money.
Trump is taking money that has been allocated to specific projects based on the case that had been made for them. What he should have said is that the contracts had not yet been signed.
But that wasn't the image he wanted to portray as he said something like what they would be used for "didn't seem very important" to HIM.
At which point, he just directly contradicted himself about the "allocation." But then that's Trump ...
Dems and Libs are having a total meltdown about the declaration and the press conference...love it.
Honestly if you actually believed in our country and our constitution you should be melting down a bit too. The only thing you care about is if the liberals are melting down.
At some point the Dems will get the presidency. They will declare an emergency for global warming with some draconian fixes. They will point to today and say if he can we can. The people cheering this idiotic move by Trump will squeal...
And both would have to be proven. But you really need to look up identity theft though, it's not as clear cut as you might think, and tax evasion? A good number of illegals have taxes withheld by their employer, they just don't get SS credit for them or get tax refunds. But maybe you think that IRS will pursue suburban families who pay illegals cash to mow their lawns or take care of their kids
Trump just needs to modify the civil forfeiture laws a little. Nothing has to be "proven". You're in our country illegally, you forfeit your assets and they will be returned to their rightful owner.
And yes it doesn't matter what type of employment illegals are involved in. The American Taxpayer needs to see justice and financial restitution.
