More people are feeling optimistic about their own finances, according to Gallup.
In a recent poll, nearly 7 out of 10 participants said they expected to be "better off" financially by this time next year. The company surveyed 1,017 U.S. adults by phone in January.
This level of optimism hasn't been seen in 16 years, according to Gallup. Half of respondents say they are in better financial shape than a year ago.
It is unfortunate that it appears an issue so straightforward can still be divided by partisanship (you're either better off or your not...they are simply numbers). And although I agree that the new tax plan was harsh to the Upper Middle Class and above (as per Pew, the Middle Class is defined by income as between $40,500 and $122k), those solidly in the midrange of these numbers will clearly do better). It's rare that the government puts more money in people's pocketbooks, but that's exactly what this plan did. Not to mention, unemployment levels are down across the board.
As much as the naysayers want to scream, not everything is as bad as they claim.
I guess you pay no attention to the fact the Americans are screaming over the lies they were told about their "tax cuts".

To be honest, I really do think he will be killed before gets to see a second term. And he will probably be killed by someone in his own cabinet or by one of his own supporters because he's become too wishy washy. Can't go on TV and declare we are getting out of Syria and even fire Mattis because of it, and then within a week, retract what you said. Can't say you are getting rid of NAFTA, claim you renegotiated a better deal when in reality, it's the same thing as we had before. Can't be against illegal immigrants and yet have them working on your very own golf course. Can't say you are for hard working Americans when you hire foreigners, and you and your family have their clothing line manufactured out of the states....
There are those who believe the media. The drink the kookaid and believe that President Trump is unpopular, that he is doing nothing but golfing, that he is liar, that he is a dictator which proves(though we need no proof) that President Trump is doing amazingly!
They will never admit that they are wrong. When Trump wins in 2020 they still will spew the same fake news.
Hahaha.. it's not the media, it's him just showing us who he is that makes him entirely unlikeable. It's his going golfing that indicates how many times he Golfs! There are documented untruths from the beginning listing how often he has lied. He proves that he doesn't know what he is doing, only pretending to be president. What he does is shared publicly, not being made up. We have nothing to admit, except knowing before being elected that he was wrong for the country.
We don't need to drink anything to see this. But sounds like you may be ingesting something, yourself.
The most likely reason for Trump being re-elected is another poor Democrat candidate.
The Democrats did Trump a favour in terms of Hillary Clinton and somebody like Elizabeth Warren would also be a gift to Trump and the Republicans.
As for Sanders, he's too old and has a history of saying some fairly foolish things and backing communist regimes.
Don't worry, even a lesser-dem would wind up better than the buffoon we currently suffer with. (Hell, an educated, sharp High School Grad could do better). It's going to be a positive, appropriate Democrat next time around...thank God.

Totally agree - we have Trump because he was a better option than Hillary. Plain and simple - my party dropped the ball and still don't realize that not all us Dems want old people, socialists, or those pandering to be elected due to Gender, Race, or Creed.
Most Democrats would love to see someone who is running on family values, keeping the country great and protected and continued growth - none of which is included in the Democrat rhetoric these days.
I think Trump has a very good chance of re-election irregardless of the Mueller report and even the fact the majority of Americans disapprove of him as President. He has the support of global big money interests who legally or illegally will pour huge amounts of money into his campaign.
And he has the support of authoritarian nations like Russia, China and North Korea each with highly developed cyber warfare capabilities to twist public opinions and infiltrate our voting system. In return Trump will neither criticize these countries or object or take any actions against them even if they endanger our national security. The fix is in.
So, better to have a dishonest, sexist (etcetera) criminal leading the country?
