On the face if it, this looks like an expansion of the Israel-haters among Far Lefties. Upon further investigation, though (I don't live there, so not my election), it was relatively close (45% R, 51% D, with remaining some indepdent candidate) in a area which is largely liberal.

If he had said that giving money to Saudi Arabia is worse than funding the KKK, and that Yasser Arafat is burning in hell, would you have been as outraged? If no, why not?

You know what? I don't even object to that comment (although I think it's wrong). What I object to is the targeted hatred toward Israel and Israel alone.
