Some states allow fully auto weapons. Federal allows anyone over 21. That auto weapon has to be previously registered through BATFE prior to 86. You can buy them. They cost 15 to 25k for M16s. You will buy it, then have it transfered to you with a ATF backgroumd check done through FBI. Only you can use it, unless someone else using it is with you. And to travel out 8f state you need t8 notify atf.
By the way, as of 86 no automat7c weapons can be sold from a manufacturer to civilian. Sort of.
All true but was the poster trying to say that automatic weapons are the problem? How many shootings have there been where automatic weapons have been used?
So, in 2014, the government at the state and federal level, all Democrat, failed to keep this person from buying a gun, yet somehow it is Trump's fault in 2019?
Yeah, the more I read some posts around here I have to wonder if the russian bots are back trying to create positive spin for republicans with utterly ridiculous claims.
Anyway, waiting now for CNN to start running articles about the shooting reporting that the shooter wore a MAGA hat....

And in 2019, the government at the state level found out that he should not own a gun and wrote him a sternly worded letter about it. Chopchop0, please explain how that is a problem at the federal level. It was the state and local authorities that dropped the ball. If it had been California, the pre-crime department would have been kicking his door in instead of writing a letter.
In this case the man was completely innocent of anything regarding this crime...until the gun was seen in his hands (well, we'd need PROOF first) and then he shot people.
Yes, there is a WHOLE LOT of incentive NOT to murder someone...but if someone is willing to deal with the consequences, not much anyone can do to prevent them from carrying it out.
There have been tough laws against murder for decades...but people STILL commit this crime all the time, prisons are filled with convicted murderers.
And yet these dolts think more laws will help...SMH
Maybe a fingerprint check system linked to FBI for every purchase of a gun. Better than a piece of paper, 4473 that you can lie on..
