The argument was that teams don't want the distraction. Gordon has always been a huge distraction.

That was my immediate thought as well. Some on here are so freaking clueless it's unbelievable. A private business, who pays you wages to WORK, and do what you're paid to do only, and nothing more during business hours, telling employees how to act during business hours, versus the government banning dissent....wow, one of these is NOT like the other. How stupid and can some people be ?????

Gotta love America. Only here can an anti-American piece of trash like Kaepernick become a millionaire. Reminds me of the family of Freddie Gray, who got paid $6.5M for raising a drug dealer. Meanwhile, those of us who work for a living try our best to get ahead don't get squat.

This is the world liberals have created and want.

I don't understand the need to spin. Well, I do.
So he might be average... Ok I'll bite. An average player who is also a distraction isn't worth the chaos that they might bring. Often star players end up not being worth the damage they cause. Examples?
Terril Owens. Great player, but a headache for every team he played for.
There are many such examples.

Wow, $60 million? I thought it wasn't about the money? Will he be giving 90% to social activism?

This is why playing the race card and being a victim is such a big business in America, he earned more by kneeling than he ever did playing.
He donates quite a bit of money and time.

The NFL nor the team told him he couldn't kneel. You can argue that on a PR level they could not but all the same, just because you wished they had, they did not.

So we are better than North Korea? Guess the bar is really low now. And Trumps ole pissy fit certainly did constitute government reaction. Pence walking out. It all mattered.

$60-$80 million. Collusion. There is a reason far bigger than Kaepernick that the NFL doesn't want a collusion suit going against them.

$6-$8 million and you could argue the NFL just wanted to settle. $60-$80 million and the NFL is admitting that there was a strong case against them. Personally I wish he had exposed what he had but, whatever.

Good or better players are often overlooked by teams if they have a lot of baggage. Even star players wear out their welcome, TO for example.
