What a comical thread. Yes, blame democrats for not funding a wall that most Americans don't want. Our tax dollars could be better spent elsewhere such as infrastructure. We need comprehensive immigration reform.
It's amazing how the radicalized leftists will not say anything on these threads about the invasion of 1000' s of illegal aliens trying to cross our border. And they won't even say anything about how they put illegal aliens before American citizens. it amazes me how when confronted with these issues the leftists on this website will say nothing in regard to it. They just attack Trump.. and remain silent on the crisis on our southern border. That is pure evidence that the leftists want our country to turn into a third world country. I simply don't understand this insanity. This is why Democrats can never get into power again.
If you go to the border, the people there, such as the mayor of McAllen, will tell you there is no border crisis. So will other politicians there. We can't do much of anything about real problems this country faces as long as there are people who insist upon being gullible enough to fall hook, line and sinker for lies and half truths. Too many people who fall for lies will lead to the fall of this country.
I am not liberal but I will say there is no crisis at our southern border. You have swallowed up everything Trump has spoon fed you about the immigrant issue. I simply don't understand this insanity.

You want crisis, look at the data. We have plenty at home. Borders, Muslims Hillary... That is how your party distracts you from the real issues..

I live a few miles from an area where illegal aliens have settled. They jam in 15 people to a house and the schools are going to the dogs. What about the working class AMERICAN children whose education is taking a hit? Why is Beto talking about TEARING DOWN walls so it's smoother sailing for criminals?
(And the fact that 1/3 of all women in these massive caravans are sexually assaulted tells me enough about the men among them. Thanks, but we have enough rapists here as it is.)
The thing is that Americans already know this, and yet they still voted overwhelmingly for Democrats and even far-left socialist Democrats in 2018.

The far left stands for these things: for the rich to pay higher income taxes, legalization of marijuana, and Medicare for all. SO DO THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS. What did I leave out?

Why is this a stupid thread? This is a real problem a real concern or at least it should be.
Cape Cod is not immune to the affects of drugs, crime and we have our share of illegal aliens. Yes most illegals keep their heads down and work but their cheap labor has a negative affect on so many aspects of our economy. We also have an illegal alien criminal element that is not that far from us outside Boston. They scam the welfare systems and sell their drugs. A city called Lawrence is the drug capital of the North East and the gangs/dealers are illegal aliens and little is done by our Liberal leaders and judges. The cops catch them and the courts release them. Last week Elizabeth Warren went to Lawrence to announce she is running for the White House.
Massachusetts, Cape Cod and even Marthas' Vineyard where I lived for a time has major issues with illegal aliens yet our mostly Democrat liberal elected do little about it except to sweep it under the rug and try to keep it out of the papers.
WHY ?
I think if the American people really knew what was going on at the border and didn't form their opinions from the biased news they see from the Left leaning outlets they would feel a different way about it.
I just don't understand how the Left can deny the problem. I think they are doing it to spite Trump and for political reasons. I also think that the Dems are hoping that some day in the near future that the millions of illegal aliens that are already here will be given amnesty and eventually a vote which will mean that we will never see another Republican in higher office, which means the balance of power/influence will be gone.
The political game that the Dems are playing is a dangerous one for first the individuals and eventually the states that will be drowning in debt until the entire country suffers.
I think that we will look back at this moment in history and realize that it was a pivotal moment.
Trump is only guilty of pointing it out to us.
Is the country lost? It is a serious question. I have real concerns for the future of America given what we have been witnessing coming from the Democrats.
One has to be blind not to see that illegal immigration is a problem yet the Dems are resisting and fighting Trump who wants to shore up the border against people that would break our immigration laws.
What could be more basic than enforcing our existing immigration laws yet time and again illegal aliens that are caught committing crimes are released to continue their crime sprees against Legal immigrants and citizens alike.
It is estimated that Illegal immigration costs us all nearly $90 Billion per year. There is something like 300 people a day that die from drug overdoses and much of that junk comes across our borders.
There are Dems that would tear down all the walls and disband ICE but then what would happen?
What happens when the caravans keep coming?
What happens when Venezuela totally fails and hundreds of thousands if not millions of people spread out to surrounding countries and many with nothing to lose and everything to gain march their way to our border with nothing but the clothes on their backs?

The Democrats seem so intent on running America into the ground to spite Trump that by the time they get back in power it might be too late to fix it.
I am at the point of frustration and a point in my life that I'm thinking why bother. Why not let the Dems take over and let them fundamentally change America, knock it off its pedestal and turn it into something it was never meant to be thus destroying it.
Of course they will blame Trump, he gets the blame for everything regardless but what has he really done in the past 2 years that has hurt America to the extent that the Lefty media tells us he has? We have low unemployment, an economy that is chugging along nicely, when was the last time we heard about a terrorist strike? Things are looking up but "they" tell us it is not.
Imagine if in 20 years America has been taken down a notch and our quality of life has been lowered due to bad policies etc etc. and we look back on this time and admit that Trump was right about so much including securing the border. Imagine if that happens in 20 years.
I just don't understand the extreme far Left posture that so many Dems are now taking and what it means for us all if one of them should get into power.
