This is yet another reason to stay out of dumb wars. The only thing that can be done with these so-called bad guys is release them back to their home countries. Of course at American taxpayer expense. Of course, they’ll leave again and go adventure seeking for some other Islamic conflict somewhere in the world.

Senator Tom Cotton wants to put them in Guantanamo, but that just shows how dumb he is. We already have enough problems figuring out what to do with the people we already house there. We’ve made them too angry to release, but we have no charges to file against them. Being in ISIS isn’t against the law (especially since we created ISIS to begin with). And of course, that’s because nearly none of them are terrorists in the first place with a tiny few possible exceptions. It should disturb Americans as it is that we’re detaining people without trial without adding 1000 more to the total.

Wars! Dumb, usually unnecessary, and fraught with a million problems down the road that are almost always unforeseen by incompetent generals and pols who make a quarter of a million dollars a year in pay and benefits.

Send them back to their home countries and let them decide what to do with these ISIS members. Pretty much the entire Middle East hates us as it is for the countless wars we have either started or supported there. It's long past time that we bring our own troops home and let the countries of the Middle East deal with their problems themselves.

I have no problem releasing them in their home countries. From 30,000 feet.

I know what we can do with them and they would never hurt anyone again. Take them out,
Line them up in front of their mosques and cut their heads off.

America’s Leftists will battle as hard for ISIS Terrorists as they do for Iranian Terrorists, MS-13 Gangs and all who want to invade the USA. They can’t help themselves.

Terrorism is the price of empire—Pat Buchanan

Maybe one out of twenty might need to go to Guantanamo. Once you get yourself into this mess you only have the lesser of bad choices to go with.

How the hell did anyone think the Arab Spring would lead to tolerant democratic governments?

Without trials? If so make sure you broadcast it to the world that the USA can be just as bad as ISIS or any other terrorist group.

If they were captured during combat actions, then yes execute them (with a trial that verifies their identity as such a perpetrator of course). There is nothing legally or morally wrong with killing those who have fired upon you.

Now, there are some who might have sent a check to some bad people or opened their home up as a hideout or, some other thing we can't easily prove (if we even can). Those particular cases require a little more technique. If we executed those particular individuals, then perhaps our policies should be examined.

Still, be careful comparing American Soldiers to Islamic Terrorists.

Right.

And then when we get hit again 9/11 style, you’ll be the main one out front crying crocodile tears with the refrain “why do they hate us so much?”

Stop creating ISIS like groups, and you won’t have these issues.

That’s your fantasy?

Take them out for what? Did they do something wrong to the United States? Or just kill them just because you’re a barbaric Christian?

Your country created ISIS in that laboratory called Iraq. Take some responsibility for once. You supported Bush’s invasion of Iraq.

Ummmm...it’s illegal to kill prisoners of war. If you do that, then the moral authority of the United States is exactly the same as ISIS. Less actually.
