The only difference in SNL lambasting Trump, as opposed to the past presidents, is that Trump's performance is actually funnier than SNL's depiction of him.

Liberals talk about birtherism b/c it is their way of making Obama out as a victim. Obama is no longer in office, he has a ton of money, so everything is cool.
If a liberal paid Nigerians to fake attack him to pin on Trump supporters, it is possible that Obama was born in Kenya.

Trump talked about the birther thing because his style is that of a wrestler. it was never a serious thing for him. Trump supporters understand this.
Trump may have gotten behind birtherism for political expediency rather than re actually being racist, but if that is the case, that is equally despicable and dismisses any justification he might have had to claim that people who are saying he is racist have no credibility.
