I did read the article. The article relies heavily on the police report which basically relies on what the police were told. The article says the video did not show the gun being drawn as it happened "off camera." The MAGA hat-wearing gentleman may be entirely in the right, but we don't know that yet.
You're leaving out the eye witnesses who corroborated the MAGA hat wearer's story.
I want that doofus Chicago actor to be forced to wear a MAGA hat as part of his sentencing. Then he'll see real intolerance directed at him and he'll wake up to who the real haters are.
There's lots of unstable people who probably shouldn't own a gun..
What do you propose to do about it?
Are you advocating stripping people of a Constitutional right who haven't done anything wrong?
Do you want to punish people for what you think they might do?

The words in 2nd amendment "well regulated" means well functioning, and "militia" means the people. I agree with the 2nd amendment.
Well functioning would not include:
- Children
- Violent criminals
- Heroin addicts
- Habitual drunks
- Crazy people
- Those who are physically unable to handle firearms
We need the following (and much we already have). Vast majority of pro-2nd amendment people agree:
- Criminal back-ground check
- Age verification check (no kids)
- Basic firearm handling test (exclude those physically unable)
- Drug test
- Mental evaluation (could be part of the firearm handing course)
The armed services does all of the above for the obvious reasons.
Anyone who passes will get a nationwide carry license.

The police arrested the other dude after assessing the situation, I think that the odds that they just slapped cuffs on him based upon he-said-she-said is highly unlikely.
I think that because there is a MAGA hat involved on the victim side (allegedly) that you aren't as keen to rush to judgment on this one.
FYI to you and Joe....politics is not a protected group so you can't have a "hate crime" against a MAGA hat wearer unless other factors were present.
Even then a good defense atty would argue the attack wasn't a hate crime but actually because of the MAGA hat so if it were a black guy wearing the hat and an Asian guy came up and attacked him saying the N-word and mentioning MAGA....he'd quite possibly escape hate crime charges due to the hat as the motivation for the attack could be presented as politics and not race.
Not any more, I think the Dems finally grew a pair, you have to fight fire with fire. Like I mentioned in another post, we are so divided I can see Martial Law coming down the pike.

You are pleased the Leftist guy pulled a gun on a shopper wearing a MAGA Hat and told him “it’s a good day to die”. I guess your twisted idea of Martial Law is to declare Open Season on anyone wearing MAGA gear and supporting the President of the United States.
