Ironic, isn't it? Roger Stone tried to wangle a pardon for Julian Assange--maybe they'll end up sharing a cell. Stone is a bigger wacko than I originally thought.

"...In early January, Roger Stone, the longtime Republican operative and adviser to Donald Trump, sent a text message to an associate stating that he was actively seeking a presidential pardon for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange—and felt optimistic about his chances.

“I am working with others to get JA a blanket pardon,” Stone wrote, in a January 6 exchange of text messages obtained by Mother Jones. “It’s very real and very possible. Don’t **** it up.” Thirty-five minutes later, Stone added, “Something very big about to go down.”

I don't think outrage is the emotion that makes this fascinating or just interesting. Thanks, cuebald for the post.

I would agree this was stupid of Mr. Stone, and it is quite perplexing to ascertain his strategy. Who trashes a judge presiding over their active case? Why?

I don't think anyone is 'outraged' other than the judge, who should be.

It's more like amusement and surprise--it is difficult to believe anyone is this stupid or has this much hubris after being arrested.

Although, I think Manafort has challenged him in the stupidity department. And they both worked for and are buddies with Trump. I'm not outraged that they all seem to think they are above the law (while chanting 'lock her up). Just waiting to see them in orange (no pun intended).

He's been on Instagram since then, desperately backpedaling. Somebody obviously wised him up, albeit a bit too late...

Have we had the "surveyor's mark" excuse yet? That's my favorite.

Trump, Stone, Manafort, Flynn and gates should all share the same cell. Stone and Manafort to be setting it up for the group.
