An explanatory article about this topic was posted today on MSN entitled: What Does Black Failure Really Say About The Black Community. By author Nafeesah Abdullah, a black woman.

Throw in black politicians and government staff that serve themselves with their position and do very little for the black community.
If that alarming study doesn’t make you want to give up on the left, I don’t know what does. People of color are clearly hitching their hope and supprt on a sinking ship.
The only real solution now is for people of color to start depending on themselves for social progress and upward mobility. Real change must come from within. No politician or government program is going to save us, just look at the horrible job they’ve done so far.
Because there is no left.
The Overton window has shifted so far to the right that there is no left in any position of power. Most Dems are center right.

The link doesn't mention that it's not race that is driving this, but IQ. In fact, most whites will also have wealth approaching zero in 30 years, because most whites aren't intelligent enough to thrive in an automated economy. The elephant in the room is that race group IQ differences vary. Just plot the IQ distribution of each group, using race as the group identifier if you are concerned with race, on an IQ axis, then slowly move the employment threshold rightward over time. Wealth will be concentrated among those to the right of the threshold, and more and more people will have nothing.
The OP is disingenuous in implying that a different sort of political allegiance or program will make any noticeable difference in this trend.

Just looking at the chart on the article you linked, black median wealth has been on the decline since 2001 which spanned 2 Democrat and 2 Republican presidents. So why are you making this point about giving up on the left?
Well it is clear that the Democrats use Black people as a Voting Block and when that starts to waiver they start talking about Reparations and get to Pandering as Biden is now doing with the pledge to pay down student debt.
What is really wrong is how the Dems are all in favor of Illegal Aliens. They are protecting them from the Law and handing them everything they need and eventually they will be given the Rights that LEGAL Immigrants worked hard and were patient to earn.
The new darlings of the Dems are the Illegal Aliens and all the money that goes to supporting them is being taken right off the tables, the clinics and out of the classrooms of the Black kids.
The Left is failing Blacks because they are eying the new Voter base in the Millions of Illegal Aliens that will be beholden to them for everything.
It’s been 60 years since the great society passed. Since then the black community has received trillions in public assistance, favorable employment dynamics, favorable college admissions standards, etc. and none of it has worked. The achievement gap has widened, black marriage and dual parent household rates have plummeted, still struggling with income mobility. Maybe all these measures were counter productive and we just should have held them to the same standards as everyone else?
Fortunately, a huge percentage of black America has moved into the middle class. Unfortunately, a significant number remain mired at the bottom, much like some white Americans, and none of them are going anywhere.
We don't hear much about poor white Americans since they mostly "fly under the radar".
The black underclass makes the news constantly due to their strong propensity for violence and outrageous behavior in public.

Who is intelligent enough? Obviously, Asians are the only racial group left, but I find it difficult to believe that they will be the only group to thrive in an "automated economy" (whatever that includes).
If the majority are "left out" politicians will be elected who are willing to change laws to ensure success for most Americans once again.

You make a good point about poor white people flying under the radar as if they don't exist.
Part of it is the left's absolute INSISTENCE on trapping minority kids in horrendously under-performing public schools as payback for extremely lucrative teachers unions' campaign donations and election votes. There's no reason whatsoever why education funding shouldn't follow the student EXACTLY as happens with Pell Grants, refundable Education Tax Credits, etc. Watch Waiting for Superman (documentary). It's heartbreaking what the left does to these kids... dooms them right from the start.
Did anyone even bother to watch the documentary that CLEARLY shows how Democrats purposely oppress minorities and the socioeconomically disadvantaged? And all because THOSE are the demographics that vote for Democrats at a very high percentile for the Fed Gov freebies Democrats promise.
Pass DNA laws and hold men accountable for every child they father. Either through work or prison, that will change everything.
So, you do realize how babies are made, right? And that precisely one of the two parties involved has the final say on whether or not the child is even allowed to be born? Does all of that authority come with any responsibility?
