As is typically the case, Fox News gets it right, and you and your ilk get it utterly wrong - and deliberately so, IMHO.
Socialism is a cancer and its supporters are malignant tumors, including those Fox News cited.

Fox News has taken the liberty of redefining socialism. They've redefined it to mean anything that the middle class would need to make their lives more tolerable and would expect the upper class to pay for.
Your detailed response has all of the scholarly thought of a high school drop out. Thank you for your opinion.
The actions you see and being proposed by the new DemoncRatic Party speaks volumes .... again socialism suxs. The only ism I believe in is Americanism ...
Optimism is pretty good too. But those are the only two.

If they need it, they must earn it.
Nobody should be forced at gunpoint to provide for them.
Remember you are not entitled to other people’s money or fruit of their honest labor.
It is a real threat. News stations just doing what they always do for ratings. Sensationalize everything. But socialism is a serious threat to our nation. This crap takes hold and we keep going down this road, in about 20 years anyone making less than a million bucks a year will seriously regret these policies.
Everybody loves free stuff and being coddled but these policies are dangerous to our freedoms.
There will be rich, and poor. That's it. And that btw, is the plan. This crap is all orchestrated.

It is not America's nature to nationalize the major industries. That is the true nature of Socialism. If the middle class has needs like government subsidized child care, perhaps it's because corporations have discovered the windfall of unpaid overtime. I don't separate government and corporations that easily. If the corporations want more, the government is going to provide a way. If it takes increased taxes on the corporations to do it, so be it.

Full on European style democratic socialism has a tax rate approaching 45% of earnings. It's not free. If the Europeans didn't like it, it would be voted out of existence.

Uh no. Those with money are forced to pay for deadbeats. That’s what is resented.
