Whenever a "new" idea comes up there's always revolt at first and finally acceptance. We totally accept Medicare for those over 65. I can definitely see Medicare for those over 50 or 55, just basically an extension of what already is in place.
Medicine has evolved incrementally, and I think that will continue. Hillary was to push for lowering the Medicare age to 50-55. That also would have taken huge risks off of the private Obamacare plans.
Don't waste your bandwidth on that one. Posts nonsense and skates. Never addresses a factual rebuttal but just comes back with more nonsense.
Right now Americans are besides themselves trying to address an issue that's been simmering for decades and all his type can do is post nonsense about other systems that have serviced their populations to the extent not one of them would ever change backwards reverting to the American model, and that's been a fact for over 60 years.
We should thank them for the incentive to avoid at all costs what they've been experiencing.
Oh sure; like I'm the only person on here that would ever get upset over the constant, unrelenting and incorrect disparaging of their country by another's citizenry.
Wait a minute, you do the same thing, don't you think you are being a bit of a hypocrite?

Indeed, why would they, when they could easily experience this:

The second relative spent almost 4 months in the hospital and also had over a million dollars in medical bills. Even though the actual hospital she went into was in-network for his insurance, many of the medical providers who worked on him at the hospital were out of network. The out of network medical providers sent separate bills and were 4-5 times higher than the negotiated bill rate of in-network doctors. Their charges did not count against the out of pocket maximum. Now he owes hundreds of thousands of dollars and is talking about bankruptcy and losing his home.
I just spent about a week in the hospital and wonder how many out of network medical providers took care of me at the in-network hospital. I am scared to death. No bills yet.
The old balance billing/surprise billing/out-of-network scam. Some states have laws to protect against this although these laws do NOT apply to self-funded employer plans, some providers will take a reduced settlement, some patients are forced to hire a patient advocate who may or may not get some of these charges reduced, others not proactive enough may end up in bankruptcy which can be catastrophic depending on the state you live in.
The foregoing scenario is RIDICULOUS. Canadians and those from other countries NEVER have these concerns
Why do we???
Because in this country it is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

AZ is is in fact changing the laws right now to protect the patients.
Ask any retired or VA eligible veteran about TriCare and the VA. That is a microcosm of how Mediwelfare4All will unfold.
Not so.
The VA is a government owned and delivered HC system.
Medicare is government administered, but mainly privately delivered.
