I'd run into a burning building to save my pets. I'd run into a burning building to save your pets. Hell, I'd have run into a burning building to save his pets.
no, because had he not been a gay activist upset by the dearth of drama that was a direct result of his success, he wouldn't have burned his house and pets in fake hoax and there would have been no story to post.
why would someone be so upset that people are finally shedding light on the fact that so many 'hate crimes' are fake? i can only make an educated guess that it makes them angry to be called out on so many hoaxes, and that what they claim is an enormous problem is in actuality so miniscule that the demand exponentially exceeds the actual supply.
I was right. Your sole purpose is to delegitimize hate crimes. Got it.
FYI, I think it is horrible that pets died. If this person did this, I hope they get the book thrown at them. Happy?

Cats rock. I love dogs, too, but my cats own me.
i hear ya. few things are as enraging as gratuitous animal cruelty. i would certainly run into a burning building to rescue mine.
The part in bold is where we part ways on this issue. I don't know of anyone who wants to see hoaxes passed off as real. They damage the credibility of every single person who has ever been a real victim. The issue, once again, is that sometimes these crimes are real, and focusing solely on the hoaxes doesn't help matters, either. Did you see the thread about the Coast Guard officer, and the number of people whose knee-jerk response was to call it fake news?
There has to be some way to break this habit - a habit not confined to either side of the aisle - of believing only the stories that support preconceived notions.
Rein in them horses cowboy. I have no cherished hoaxes. .
welp, not anymore you don't
