Bernie wants free medical and college for all, which he will not get, but he will push in that direction, and his overall agenda is probably doable with certain modifications.

Medicare should be an option for everyone who is not covered by their company benefits plan. Companies should not be allowed to offer Medicare as a health benefit, therefore giving existing healthcare companies that business, same as now.

The Medicare for all option would be most helpful for those not covered by a company plan who have to go out and buy an individual policy, and get slammed by the cost (been there, done that). When you go to the ACA site and see that you don’t qualify for lower income coverage, your only option is to pay a small fortune for private coverage with high deductibles.

People who have not reached retirement age, but have paid years into Medicare would have their premiums reduced accordingly, while those who have not would still get a break over private company cost.

As for free college tuition, I think that ‘almost free’ community colleges are possible, with interest-free student loans given to those who pass exams to get to 4-year state universities, and with those loans largely forgiven if you graduate.

There is room for compromise on any of these points… just leave ‘the Wall’ out of any discussions.

We've covered this many times. I'm sure you are aware of that but you just couldn't stop yourself from spouting falsehoods.

Bernie wants free medical and college for all

He never said "free." Why be dishonest about it? You'd have a lot more credibility if you simply said you don't agree with expanding Medicare and more federal assistance for college students.

He said 'most developed countries have free medical care, why don't we?' If you would read my post you might realize that I support his agenda, but am realistic enough to know that it will not survive without modifications.

See here again we have the right in fear of the Bern!! I’m loving it myself.

To the OP. No. Your wrong Bernie isn’t going to be giving hand outs.

Last time because you just not getting the concept. Bernie wants to take TAX money and let YOU the taxpayers have medical and to be able to go to school. Using that same money you pay taxes with. I personally would pay higher taxes to be able to have those things a lot of people would.
