Democrats on the Charlotte, North Carolina City Council have asked the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) to “cut back” on enforcement of drunk-driving laws in neighborhoods with large illegal immigrant populations, because illegal immigrants apparently are “nervous to see the cops.”

“We start tonight with pressure on Charlotte police to cut illegal immigrants a break when it comes to speeding and drunk driving,” reported Mike Garrison of WBT Radio on Feb. 12.

But now people are trying to define one side as being for DUI and speeding, and the other side is going to bring out the racism card. Its the continuing erosion of our country by folks seeking to divide us.

The Dem Party is out of control. Their pandering to illegal immigrants at the expense of US citizens' safety and well being has reached a new low. This is a damn shame. Every day I read about a new low from the Dem Party, and this definitely takes the cake for today.

Europe is going through the same thing. And this influx of immigrants is their way of maintaining power.

“Nervous to see cops”?

Aren’t people who are breaking the law SUPPOSED to be nervous to see the cops? Unless you live in some upside down universe, this is a good thing.

Also, ICE nabbed 200 illegals. Another good thing.

Being here illegally is not supposed to be comfortable. The fact that so many are comfortable, is the reason we have this problem in the first place. Living illegally in a country is supposed to be a miserable life, so these people decide it is not worth it and go back to where they came from. The reason they stay is because we make it so easy for them.

Driver’s licenses? In state tuition? And now we are essentially giving them a license to drive drunk and speed? This is insanity.

The traffic safety and sobriety checkpoints are placed around the city based on accident data. If a location has a higher incidence of motor vehicle in fractions or drunk driving related crashes, it might receive more police attention. The recent patrol was due to an alcohol related fatal crash in the area a week earlier. It would be a dangerous practice to not patrol areas just because there is a high concentration of illegals.

Yes they should be.

Democrats are trying to mess up my state these days, sadly.

perhaps it is time to sue city councils that make decisions like this one then if an illegal blow through a stop sign and T bones an innocent motorist.
