Our societies slaughter so many animals in the name of food. I'm sorry I never really bought into that there is a huge paradigm difference between killing an animal then eating it or killing it and not eating it. I don't see that the difference is relevant from a moral standpoint.
Hypothetical: Would you say that a person was less of a scumbag if he killed someone then ate them versus someone who killed someone and didn't eat them?
Were you on the hunt? Do you know or have any idea what she went through during the hunt? My cousin used to do guided Mt Lion hunts. They are not an easy hunt, at least not where he took the hunters.
Me I typically don't hunt bears or cats. Im a meat hunter and big horns aren't my objective. I already got some nice racks. That said I won't judge a hunter who is proud of a hard earned kill.
There have been reports lately of Cougars attacking humans. Some have died from the attacks. If there is overpopulation that is endangering where people inhabit and it is legal to hunt them then so be it. I don't have to look at the gory photos if I don't want to.
