You keep repeating this lie, but it isn't working.

The Nazis persecuted communists and socialists in Germany, the first concentration camps were filled with them and there is documentary evidence for that. The Nazis killed the leaders of the left leaning faction in their own party early in the 1930's (night of the long knives).

You know all of this, so why do you repeat this lie?

Communism and Nazism are 1st cousins and could be good or extremely evil because both grant too much authority to the state at the expense of the citizens....evil corrupt dictators can use either system to kill millions.

They are both ideologies that belong in the trash heap. Brutal, destructive, and dehumanizing. And they both have a great deal in common.

The main difference is that Communism purports to create a utopia of egalitarianism and social justice via heavy handed state control. Invariably this leads to widespread destruction. Communism is a victim of its own naivete.

Nazism puts on no such airs. It states what it wants to do and how it will do it, destruction be damned.

There is no place for either in this world.

They are not 1st cousins, from the point of view of their economic models - but fully agree that last century they both were very effective at instituting an authoritarian State under a powerful dictator.

For Americans and for peoples all over the world, it's not just death in a political prison or concentration camp that we need to fear; it is the loss of human rights and freedoms in our daily lives. Quibbling about Communism versus Nazism is just silly.

Monsters eat their own. What else is new?

Guess who murdered more communists? Communists themselves.

How is it a lie when Nazi is literally National Socialist party?

Communism and nazism, aka, socialism are different mutations from the same old gene - slavery.

Look at this: from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Isn’t that classic slavery?

There are quite a lot of people who hate communism, indeed the Tomb of Karl Marx in Highgate Cemtery in London has already been attacked twice already this year. once with a hammer and once with red paint.

Let's be accurate, though.

This was authoritarianism, totalitarianism and nationalism (Russia, up to today, wants Ukraine in the fold)....

This was not really an affect of Communism any more than our opiate deaths are due to Capitalism. Well, they are.....or that 46% of people in Florida aren't making it under Capitalism, or our shorter life span.

In other words, that was a Crime Against Humanity

It seems to me that whenever one person - in a large nation - is given complete power...that's then the problems occur. It doesn't have as much to do with "ism" as it does with that the job is way too big for one person...especially "mad" people.

Even modern China has a system with multiple people at the top and some checks and balances there. Xi cannot, by his lonesome, decide to kill 100 million Chinese (that would be not even equiv. to Stalin)...

I seem true to me that most of these systems have only been tried on very small scales - i.e. Kibbutz in Israel and such things.

In the USA we'd probably be best worrying about why our system failed. I worry that all this fear and terror of "the other system" is sorta an "opiate of the masses" so that we accept our relatively sad lot (statistics say we are far down the list in most things) for fear of things being worse.
