AOC has a grade-school understanding of reality. She fits right in with the worst of McCarthyism & Richard Nixon with her "lists" of people she is going to get. Those moderate Democrats are going to lose their seats in 2020 if this trend continues.

AC has become a favorite lighting rod but she is inconsequential, the GOP will use this but that amendment will go nowhere. Many New Democrats in the House this will be resolved as was the case with the tea party when the GOP took over.

Damn right they are going to use it, they are going to hammer that wedge between moderate Democrats and the more liberal ones every chance they get. The amendment was in the bill that just passed the House. This of course was direct result of the Democrats who voted for it. Those Democrats are being asked to walk the plank to support the party.

Just to reiterate what we are discussing is an amendment that requires ICE be notified if an illegal alien tries to buy a gun. This is something that should not be controversial and it certainly would not be for moderate Democrats and their constituents. Voting no would be a big problem for them.

Politics are moving to the extremes. Moderates are a thing of a past as of now. Third party candidates will do better as well. This stuff is happening all over the world......The next 10-15 years will be very interesting.

I will admit since AOC was elected every day is better than watching the Comedy Channel on some of the chit she says and does.

She could be the 4th Stooge.

Shame that Democrats and the Media take her so seriously. She should be the shooting star of the party that flames out in the very near future. Even the Dems are going to get tired of her brand of Stupidity.

Edith Bunker you have a love child.

silly and uneducated as the character was, she is still far more intelligent and wise than AOC could ever hope to be.

A list, huh. So much for democratic socialist. She's just a plain ole authoritarian socialist looking to purge people who don't fall in line. Sound familiar? One hundred million dead people were once wrong-thinkers on a list.

Seems to me that there is a difference between asking for a vote and threatening people if they don't get the vote.
It maybe be how political parties work but that hardly equates to acting in the best interests of the nation or their constituents. It's what made me go independent.

Those moderates have all jumped party and are now Independents or unaffiliated. Both parties are extremely corrupt and so bought off by special interests and party loyalty that more people are registered as independent than either party now......

Best part is where they keep whining that Republicans "march in lockstep" even when the Republicans don't... and say the R party is "in chaos" when they don't.

Will they apply the same standard to their own party?

These people really need to get their stories straight.

House Democrats held an emotional debate behind closed doors Thursday over how to stop losing embarrassing procedural battles with Republicans — a clash that exposed the divide between moderates and progressives.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) took a hard line at the caucus meeting, saying that being a member of Congress sometimes requires taking tough votes.

“This is not a day at the beach. This is the Congress of the United States,” Pelosi said, according to two sources.

And Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the superstar New York freshman lawmaker, suggested she would alert progressive activists when Democrats are voting with the GOP on these motions, said the sources.

That's the problem with the dems. They look at the political process as battle between "us" and "them", rather than doing what is best for THE PEOPLE- the job with which they are charged.

Congressmen should vote for what is best for their constituents, not the national party. The interests of democrats in New York should be different than those in West Virginia, thus we would expect different voting habits.

The fact that Pelosi and AOC don't understand this shows they are totalitarians and do not give a rip about the "people" they are purported to represent.
