I wouldn't make that assumption. I have, and grad school to for a Masters Degree. I know a lot of educated people who can't change a car tire if they have a flat.

I must agree that one only has to look through this thread to see how much more the negative stereotyping against conservatives outweighs the little bit of the opposite.

I don't believe we are close to Civil War. But I am concerned about a constitutional crisis looming. For example:

Congress demands that Trump release his tax returns and testify in front of committee
Trump refuses. Issue goes to Supreme Court
Supreme Court rules that Trump must abide by Congress' demands
Trump refuses
US Marshalls are dispatched to the White House to drag Trump down to the Capitol
Trump supporters cry "coup" and rush to his defense.

Or, the Attorney General orders the Marshalls to stand down. How does the Congress and/or Judicial branch impose their will when the the Executive branch controls both law enforcement and the military?

Will that be on pay-per-view because if it is I'm cashing in a savings bond to put that up on the old 75" flat screen!

Actually, they tried this almost exactly five years ago. Anyone remember "American Spring" in which MILLIONS of "patriots" (mostly followers of Alex Jones, I think) were supposed to march on Washington to overthrow Obama and other leaders -- and maybe 200 people showed up?

And are we still falling for the lie that open-minded "liberal" progressives don't fall back upon stereotypes?

First came former U.S. attorney Joseph diGenova, a Fox News regular and ally of President Trump. “We are in a civil war,” he said. “The suggestion that there’s ever going to be civil discourse in this country for the foreseeable future is over. . . . It’s going to be total war.”

The next day, Nicolle Wallace, a former Republican operative turned MSNBC commentator and Trump critic, played a clip of diGenova’s commentary on her show and agreed with him — although she placed the blame squarely on the president.

Trump, she said, “greenlit a war in this country around race. And if you think about the most dangerous thing he’s done, that might be it.”
Speaking to conservative pundit Laura Ingraham, diGenova summed up his best advice to friends: “I vote, and I buy guns. And that’s what you should do.”

We have often talked about this here in the past yet I keep wondering if we’re getting closer to a civil war.
Not just because Trumps is president, but because I personally can’t remember a time when this country was so divided. Other then the actual Civil War.

We keep telling each other that we’re in a media civil war of sorts yet the statement from Ingraham has me wondering.

Sure!
Cowards will never sustain an offensive rebellion. They convinced the rebels, guns were bad. LOL.

Then it's fair game both ways. So much for commenting about it.
