A president has never before refused to leave the WH when his job is over, and it is highly unlikely that it will happen now.
But - the WH staff is used to moving the old president out and the new one in rather quickly. I (shamefacedly) admit to getting the giggles when I think of Trump returning from a weekend of golf in Scotland or somewhere to find all his stuff piled on the sidewalk in front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
