Every person in congress wants military spending in their district and they will do what they need to do to keep it. Spending our kids into bankruptcy if they need to. Spending on equipment the military does not want should be against the law.

I don't know anyone, regardless of party, that thinks there isn't a fair bit of fat that can be trimmed from the defense budget, including multiple veterans.

During that appearance, interviewer Charles Gibson asked her what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, and she responded: “They’re our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska”:
