This is what you call a fishing expedition to try to make someone look bad... it's what you do when you are a bully and can't stand the thought that you lost... instead of picking up the ball and leave, you pick up the ball and try to throw at someone before leaving...
The difference is with a fishing expedition, you may or may not catch fish. I'd say all the arrests, convictions and indictments that have come out would prove that it is not just a fishing expedition. So documents and tapes backing up Cohen's statements don't mean a thing to you? Of course they don't.
What are all of these financial investigations based on, MSM reporting?
Until we see some full disclosure on probable cause for these investigations the entire thing is a political hack job in my opinion.
It’s much like their “obstruction of justice” argument, I want someone to articulate what exactly he obstructed since the Mueller investigation was never impeded, and site the US Code he allegedly violated.....

We're still waiting on Hillary's 33k deleted emails, why the FBI sat on the laptop for weeks instead of investigating, what was on Huma's laptop, the FISC warrant applications, the redacted communications between our intel agencies & the foreign intel agencies they colluded with to get Trump, the redactions in the Russian disinfo 'dossier' that Clinton bought, the missing Stzrok-Page texts, the original Mueller scope memo, the original Flynn/FBI 302 memo, the Bruce Ohr, Lisa Page, James Baker, Bill Priestap testimony & much, much more. Forget Congress, even the OIG isn't being allowed access to the information needed for oversight & it's been years now.
So yeah, let's have some daylight, by all means, but let's not be complete hypocrites about it.

They already knew who they wanted to talk to as this is following the money trail and the RICO Act. Cohen was the delivery mechanism to prep the public.
Of course he was. Everything has been carefully choreographed by Mueller, DOJ, SDNY, EDVA, EDNY, and any other AGs or prosecutors where crimes may have been committed by any of the principals. Cohen is just the fuse for the bomb that is about to go off under the GOP.
