You're not comparing protecting the merchant ships with protecting oil interests are you? Merchant ships freedoms and rights to sail the high seas vs a country exercising free will and deciding to not use force but instead just not do business with a company.

yes i would agree and its all about oil...Saudi Arabia is also a big player and the world buys oil with money that the Saudis then give a part of to whatever extremist fit the favorite flavor of the month..then the US gives money of arms to "other" players and once and a while the US has to step in and we all go round and round

Agreed as far as on one side. As always the reasons matter though. Two people can agree on how to vote on an issue but get there for different reasons. Her reasonings are not about religion. At least I haven't heard that.

Yeah but it's a Jewish/Muslim fight and a Muslim brought up cutting funds to the Jews. It will take a lot for people to see past that ridiculous as it might be it's happening.
