The topic of anti-semitism is always an interesting one because it creates some surprising bedfellows. There are anti-semitic elements of both the right and the left who disagree on every other issue but come together briefly and tentatively on this one thing. Then you have those from both sides who support Israel and whose situational camaraderie is even more reluctant.
The dems can't completely condemn Omar because much of their base agrees with her. They cannot support her because so much of their base disagrees with her. They can only do what they are doing which is to rebuke her from the sidelines while she continues to make her remarks in the spotlight.
Okay okay -- so the debate of race vs. religion but nobody addresses that JEWS who criticize Israel are not anti-semitic why are non-Jews that criticize the policies of Israel are automatically anti-semitic.
Nobody has addressed that.
Corrupt leader -- not corrupt because he's a Jew -- corrupt because he's corrupt.
Jews do criticize Israel policies. You're promoting the fake narrative that all Omar did was criticize Israeli policy. She questioned their loyalty to the U.S. and suggested that the only reason the U.S. supports Israel is Jew $$$. If you agree with her or disagree but don't think she quite reaches anti-Semitic, fine. But don't pretend that her statements were limited to policy.
Last week a Democrat state representative in Maryland helped campaign in a majority black area and called it a "N____ area". Yet nothing on the national news???? If a Republican had done this it would be all over the place with the liberal media.

It was a terrible comment that should have set off alarm bells but she gives some half hearted apology and it’s all good.
Yelling "Anti-Semite!" at critics can't remain effective much longer. Isn't it about time for a change in tactics by the pro-Israel lobby? American activists for AIPAC, especially those with religious and family ties to Israel, clearly have divided loyalties. So why not be up front about it... own it? Why not say, "damn right I'm loyal to both America and Israel and for good reasons..."? I could respect that.
Republicans are mainly composed of the traditional "old white men" and their wife's who apparently have given up on equal rights as a trade off because they are maybe better off with a wealthier husband..
democrats are "all the rest" and since some of "all the rest" may have legitimate complaints involving racism
and please note those talking about historical racism are referring to that fact that southern politicians embraced the democratic party as a rebellion against Lincoln and they held that hatred
from 1860s till the 1960s when the southern "Dixiecrat" stormed out of the democratic party en masse because of civil rights to become republicans
