Practically speaking, an innocent person choose to plead the 5th because they might not want to look guilty or even more guilty (they are innocent but most evidence points at them committing a crime).
I hope that each and everyone that has to testify due to this left wing witch hunt against the President and the demo losing out on Russian collusion, now go for a different witch hunt.
Hopefully they all smart to plea the 5th!

Except we all know Trump doesn't hold himself to any standard he holds anyone else. He calls Sen. Cruz Lying Ted but he has lied more so than Cruz and called Hillary Clinton Crooked Hillary, though he may soon be found to be more crooked than anyone ever imagine Hillary was.
Cool, then they'll just say, I don't remember, or I don't recall.....all good...
The only problem with that scenario is that the HJC is going to already have documents in hand that will put these people in the situation under discussion. Out of 81 people and entities, there will be occasions where more than one of them is involved in the same situation. If one of them fingers the other, who has already said "I don't remember", they will have no recourse against the accusation. There are also requests for documents that will either support or refute what they already have.
There are other reasons that won't work, but no reason to elaborate. You can certainly imagine them yourself.
