The only reason they listened to him was that they already had a case open based on the same information from a different party.

Also, it is not "fake". Some of it has been verified, some is still under investigation. There is also a new rumor that the "pee tape" may actually be a number of tapes with Trump and underage girls.

So it's as true as Pizzagate. Same amount of 'evidence'.

In the meantime, regardless of presumption of innocence, and that was my point - the longer a problem is allowed to fester and mature, the harder it is going to be to solve. If you are accused of crimes up to and including treason, it stands to reason that you would want to participate in the investigation and clear your name quickly, rather than snipe at the investigators on twitter and in the conservative press. Those actions look like you have something to hide. When you are accused, you are working under the onus of unresolved possible guilt, and unless some type of substantive information is offered to counter the claims, you will wear that stench until it is, regardless of guilt or innocence. The court of Public Opinion is not the same as a Court of Law, and pleading the Fifth is going to confirm the suspicions of those who saw the accusation as negative in the first place that you are guilty as homemade sin.

Trump will never be exonerated publicly. Do you think that will stop the deranged Left from inventing things? They are certifiably insane, their brains fried by hate.

As for those guilty of treason, let's see how forthcoming and cooperative the fired FBI and DoJ, Hillary and Obama will be, hmmm.

If they are innocent, there should be no need to plead the Fifth. Nice try, though. Keep at it.

Glenn Simpson pleaded the Fifth and Nellie Ohr claimed spousal privilege.

Others refused to answer simple questions citing "an ongoing investigation."

I'm guessing that when Maxine Waters asks, "Is the president a Russian spy?" these same witnesses will be happy to respond in the affirmative, whether the investigation has ended or not.

Meanwhile, Mueller has just a few more leads to follow up on...should be no problem finishing-up just as soon as the report can do the maximum political damage to Trump.

Again, the dossier was never intended as evidence of anything. Steele was hired by Glenn Simpson and told to find out what the Russians were saying about Donald Trump. Steele did that, good, bad, or indifferent, factual or not, since he didn;t know who wanted the information or why. Simpson was going to turn Steele's report over to the RNC, then later Hillary's campaign, so that they could look for the evidence for themselves to support or refute it. As it turned out, the FBI has been the ones to corroroborate what has been confirmed or disproven. Read the article I attached.

Pizzagate was a total fabrication from the gitgo for the intended purpose of character assassination.

Two entirely different situations.

I love the concern about Republicans exhibited by the biggest liberal partisan hacks on the board. Hilarious!

If they do, they had better be able to provide hard evidence to support their allegations. The question "Is the president a Russian spy?" would never be asked. It is far too open-ended. It would instead be broken up into a dozen fragments, each of which would represent a chance for a different answer. That's what lawyers do for a living.

It really doesn't matter how many entities investigate the same situation, the facts of the matter are going to be the same.

Whatever they invent, they had better be able to prove in court beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Hillary was investigated seven ways from Sunday by her opponents for thirty years, and finally by Congress. Had she been guilty of anything, it would have been found long before now, unless her opposition is nothing but terminally ignorant and dismally incompetent. I know how the smart money would bet, considering that after four years Trey Gowdy admitted the Benghazi investigation had been a political diversion to distract her from her campaign.

Who hasn’t lost their trust in the FBI top (not all FBI agents, just the former top of FBI) and how they target conservatives and make up stories to get people.

Just to make sure I'm understanding you … You are hoping that the people you support have acted so unethically, so criminally, that they will be obliged to excuse themselves from self-incrimination? Wow, that must be sad to be supporting such criminals.

The HJC is asking for documents. They have plenty of time to find them.
